Baby Greenhalgh Poll

Trent and I decided we were have just way too much fun trying to figure out what the baby was going to be on our own. We wanted to find a way to make sure all of you could join the fun also. We have created a baby gender poll so you can all pitch in and vote for the baby's sex.

So ---what do you think we will be having, a boy or a girl? We have our own ideas but we want to hear from you. We will close the poll and give the final results after our ultrasound. We don't know the date of the appointment yet but it will be sometime within the next week.

Deer Hunt

Well . . . I am so GLAD the deer hunt is over. Trent was gone all week trying to find him something to shoot. I went with him a couple times but I don't think I was near as much fun as the boys. However, we did enjoy our time out in the hills together. After several long days of looking EVERYWHERE he finally found one on Thursday night. I was really excited because that meant he wasn't going to spend his weekend out looking. =D He is just a really really little guy but Trent was still excited to go hunting because it had been so long. I was a little sad to see him shoot the deer but his excitement was fun to see. I don't know that I plan on going with him in the years to come because I could NEVER shoot one myself and one time was plenty for me! =D Even though I don't mind hunting I was happy when this night was over. He took his deer to his dad's house to hang up before they could cut up the meet. I wasn't a huge fan of seeing 4 deer hanging in this little shed but everyone will be happy to have their meet when it is finished. Trent slipped down this huge hill and got himself all sorts of muddy. It was quite funny to see him slide down the hill because I knew he wasn't hurt but it was SO gross. He smelt horrible!!! =D After washing his clothes a couple times and letting them soak I finally resorted to throwing them away. =D I hope all of you that went out hunting were successful or at least had a GREAT time in the mountains.

Busy Weekend - - - Update

We had quite the eventful weekend this past weekend. Trent went hunting with my family and was gone all day Saturday. Unfortunately, he didn't see anything but my older brother Darron got one. I am not real knowledgeable when it comes to the outdoors but I told him it was a cute little guy and I just got laughed at because apparently it was a pretty big 2 point. =D I guess I just need to get out a little more! As for my saturday it started out quite early with a phone call from Trent saying he forgot his tag and needed me to meet him up in Scofield with it. I was a little bummed because I wanted to sleep in but being the nice wife I am got on my way. As I took the Scofield turn off and headed on my way a nice little deer decided that he wanted to end his own life by jumping out in front of me. Once again, I thought he was a cute little thing but I am pretty sure he was bigger than I thought. After realizing what had just happened I pulled over to inspect my car. It was quite dark so I couldn't see all the damage but could tell it wasn't too bad but I was still quite sad because it was my car. =( I thought I would try and make light of the situation by telling Trent that I had tagged the deer that I had just hit so he could pack up his stuff and come home with me (only one problem was it wasn't a buck as I later found out). =D Needless to say my day didn't start out the best but was later turned around when I saw Little Colton that morning. He is such a cutie. Definitely busy and found plenty of things to get into that he knew he shouldn't like a box of rice krispey that ended up all over the kitchen floor. It was too cute though so all I could do was laugh at his cute smile and clean them up. =D Our weekend definitely didn't stop with Saturday. On Sunday we had a busy day as well by going to two birthday parties. My Grandma Anderson celebrated her 91st birthday at my parents house earlier in the day and Kyler celebrated his 4th birthday a little later in the day. What a special time to be with both of our families in one day. We were sad to miss Brandon and Brittany but are SO excited to see them soon. As many of you know what better way to announce some big news as when the entire family is around. We had two big announcements this day one of which being Chad and Brittany's new arrival sometime late May or early June. And the other of which being our new little addition. Yes. . . It is true we are expecting our first little one.
We are currently 17 weeks along and will be finding out the gender in a few weeks. I really wanted to wait until after we knew what we were having to make our big announcement but this little baby has decided to grow quite a bit in the last couple weeks and the weather has been too nice to wear too many hoodies. =D I am getting past the point of just looking like I have a chunky belly to where I actually have a little baby bump. It was a little surprising at first but we are excited for this next phase in our life.

As for other updates on us, We are still living in Price. Trent has 6 more weeks in this semester. He is pretty excited for it to be finished. What a relief to get another semester behind you. We are still planning on being finished with CEU this summer. The plan is to move to Cedar City next August. It has been SO nice/fun being so close to family but we are definitely ready to be done with school so that we can get on with our lives and not have to worry about schooling. Trent is still working for the NRCS. This seems to be working out nicely with his school schedule. He is hoping to get a summer internship with the Power Plant. This internship would give him a little more experience with a different kind of drafting. Lets cross our fingers that this goes through!!! I am pretty excited that I FINALLY talked Trent into going to the eye doctor. I am not sure I can take full credit for him going to the eye doctor - I think the fact that he couldn't see any deer may have had a bigger influence on him. But regardless of the reason he went I am extra happy that he can now see properly. He is about as blind as they come and he is now wearing contacts. I am still working at CEU in the Small Business Development Center. It has been a nice job for the past few months. It keeps me busy during the day which is always nice. I will be here until sometime closer to when the baby comes and then will be staying home with the little one. Other than that we aren't doing a whole lot. We are just enjoying our time together with Little Roxie.

Kyler and Tanner

The other night we were out at Trent's parents and Kyler and Tanner were out playing with Grandma for the night. It was fun to play with them for a while but I just had to post these pictures. =D Nancy dressed Tanner up in this Halloween costume and before we know it Kyler has snuck off and got dressed in it himself. It was SO funny because it didn't fit Kyler at all but he still thought it was pretty fun to have it on. We are so lucky to have the cutest nieces and nephews around! Kyler

Gee Unit

Once again time has sure flown by since Gee Unit got his call earlier this summer. His time to enter the MTC has finally come. We are SO excited for him and can't wait to hear about his mission. We know that Gee is VERY prepared and ready to serve the people of Chile. Tonight was our final moments to be with Gee for a couple years. It will be a little different around our house with him so far away. On a number of occasions one of us would come home from work to find Gee sitting on our couch playing a little football on the XBOX. We have really enjoyed hanging out with him so much since we have been back in Price. A little side note about this picture. As Gee was getting ready to go home tonight him and Trent got this great idea to ride Nick's scooter to Gee's house in Wellington. I think it is VERY funny. Trent looks funny on the scooter so I am sure they both looked a little silly riding it together. They had to get pretty bundled up because it is SO cold outside. They seemed to enjoy their last adventure together before Gee enters into a whole new adventure for himself. Thanks Gee for being such a GREAT friend and example to us throughout the years. We owe you! =D We definitely feel like we are sending off one of our own siblings.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey

I can't believe that September has already come and gone. Time flies by too fast! A couple weekends ago we were able to go to the circus with my family. It was so much fun to be with a few of my siblings and enjoy all the entertainment at the show. Trent wasn't quite sure what to think when I asked him if he would be interested in going to the circus. I think he thought I was joking. =D I LOVE the circus though so I think he felt obligated to go. However, once he got there he realized that they really are lots of fun. We were able to see lots of fun animals do a variety of tricks along with TONS of crazy people and clowns doing tricks all over the stage. We were a little disappointed we didn't get a video of the disappearing elephant. It sure was CRAZY! I am not quite sure how they made a huge elephant disappear but it sure did. We really enjoyed our time at the circus and are excited to go back in the future. Thanks everyone for a fun night! =D It definitely was the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!

Roxie

It has been a while since we have posted a picture of our little Roxie. She is growing SO big but we sure do love her. She has doubled her size since we got her in June. She is currently 10.4 pounds. We didn't think she would even get this big but she just keeps growing. A few weeks ago she was spayed. We were excited to get this done because we didn't want little puppies running around our house (one dog is good enough for us). However, our little girl was so sore for almost a week. She didn't eat much and layed on the floor or in her kennel all the time. We were glad when she started feeling better. Glad we won't have to do that again- even though it was kind of a nice that she wasn't hyper for a couple days! Because the weather has been so cold this past week we decided that it was time to dress Roxie for the weather. How do you like her new sweater? =D
